The word Axios carries deep significance. Its literal translation is “worthy” — a term once reserved for individuals seen as honorable or elevated by their peers. For me, it became a personal reminder during times when

I struggled with self-doubt. It was a word that grounded me, inspired me, and challenged me

to rise to the level, I once thought I could never reach.

But Axios also carries a second, equally powerful meaning. In
the ancient Greek marketplaces, when both parties believed a deal
was fair — when the scales were balanced and trust was earned —
they would shake hands and declare “Axios.” It meant more than just
a transaction: it meant mutual respect, transparency, and shared value.

THE NAME - AXIOS

That dual meaning — personal worth and professional integrity — is the foundation of The Axios Group. It reflects who we are, how we serve, and what we stand for.

 OUR GUIDING PRINCIPALS:

In a field built on urgency, our values bring clarity. They remind us of who we are, why we do this work, and what kind of impact we want to leave behind. our guiding principles are more than words on a wall—they’re the foundation of how we operate and our road map to success.

     GRATITUDE

Gratitude keeps us grounded. We’re grateful for the trust our clients place in us—often during their most vulnerable moments. We’re grateful for the chance to do meaningful work, and for the team beside us who make it possible. That gratitude shows up in how we serve, how we communicate, and how we carry ourselves. It’s not a soft sentiment—it’s a daily practice, and a source of strength.

intention

Choice is the most powerful separator there is—and we choose with intention. We choose our clients, our vendors and our people deliberately, then commit ourselves fully to being of

service. For us, intention lives both in the heart and in our hands. It means showing up with

care, listening fully, and acting with clarity and purpose.  Every action we take, every

choice we make on the job site, is rooted in doing what’s right for our clients.

mettle

When conditions are difficult, deadlines are tight, or emotions are high, our team holds steady.  We take pride in our ability to push through the tough jobs, the long nights, and the unexpected surprises. Mettle is what allows us to stand tall in service of others, no matter what the job throws our way.

Innovation drives our commitment to continuous improvement. The science behind restoration is well established— but innovation is how we build on it. With the technology available today, we challenge ourselves to rethink outdated practices and pioneer smarter, faster and more effective solutions for our clients.

transparency

Transparency is our sharpest tool—our strongest form of marketing, our best form of defense, and our greatest competitive edge. Transparency means no surprises. From scopes to schedules to site conditions, we communicate clearly and consistently so everyone knows what to expect.  outcomes. In a world full of fine print and broken promises, honesty is how we stand apart—and how we've earned trust that lasts.

THE LEGACY

at its core The Axios Group is a father and son company — a partnership built not just on shared values, but on years of trust, mentorship, and hard-earned experience. Together, we represent two generations of perspective: one grounded in decades of hands-on expertise, the other driven by innovation, growth, and a fresh lens on the industry. We challenge each other, we learn from each other, and above all, we lead with the same commitment to doing work that’s worthy of our name — and the people we serve.

LAST ones STANDING

a polar vortex had just gripped the northwest, LEAVING PIPES FROZEN AND SPRINKLER LINES SHATTERED IN ITS PATH. we had EVERY AVAILBLE PERSON WORKING AROUND THE CLOCK, SO WHEN MY NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER GOT HER FIRST CALL FROM A NEW CLIENT AT MIDNIGHT, 39 MILES FROM THE OFFICE, I KNEW I WOULD HAVE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. i EXPLANIED TO MY SON GABE THAT i WAS LEAVING BUT HE SARCASTICALLY INSISTED  "I'D BE TOO SLOW IF i DIDN'T TAKE HIM WITH ME". THE FEELINGS THAT I EXPERIENCED IN THAT MOMENT HAVE BEEN THE FUEL IN BUILDING THE AXIOS GROUP, WHERE i GET TO FIND DAILY OPPORTUNITIES TO RESTORE WHAT TRULY MATTERS MOST - THE connections with the PEOPLE WE LOVE.
